In order to fully understand who we are, we must first understand who we are not. PWP is not a dating service. Many people say that the reason that they don't feel any need to come to our meeting is because they already have a girl/boy friend, or don't want one. PWP is not just a bunch of party animals looking for a reason to have another party, even though we certainly do have a lot of fun!

If we are not the above, what are we? FRIENDS! First of all we are friends to each other, friends who have gone through a very similar experience in life, that of becoming a Parent Without a Partner. The bond that we share brings us closer together than with any other group. As we begin to network with our friends at PWP, we come to realize that we have someone who we can call on when we have a need. If you have truly become involved in PWP, then you certainly have friends here! Being without a husband or a wife can be a very tough time, especially when it comes to dealing with the children, or things around the house. Nobody understands that like your friends at PWP.

Remember, PWP is the largest non-profit organization in the world that is exclusively dedicated to the welfare of the single parent family....and it belongs to you! Let us encourage you to come to the meetings and get involved for your sake and that of your children. The benefits of belonging to PWP are just too numerous to mention in this short message.
